Have you read your Highway Code lately?

An American friend of mine who works for the international roady safety division of the US Department of transportation recently remarked on facebook that in Africa we did not need an emphasis on road safety due to our lack of roads. I think he needs to check this picture out!
I was literally boxed in by my fellow considerate drivers on a rainy Accra morning last week.
These guys obviously learnt driving on the job..

In Transition

We lost our Finance Minister in Ghana yesterday. He was actually extremely hardworking and did his work with prudence and humility. May his soul rest in peace.

It's all about motivation..

So this week I have had this deadline looming over my head...At the close of Friday (mmmm isn' t that like tomorrow??) I should have finished a paper that I have been dilly-dallying over for almost a year now.
My office-mate (who I am staring at as I type) set this little interesting deadline to motivate me; I have to get him a big 'ol vat of ice cream if I'm unable to get the paper done. Interestingly, after getting the deadline I suddenly rediscover my blog and start posting! Of course he can't see what I'm doing on my laptop. Now is that a sign of being a major procrastinator or what? Mmmm I hope he likes chocolate flavour!

The Joys of rediscovering your blog...

My incessant need to procrastinate has made me take up my blog after a 3 year absence. I think there is a direct correlation between neglecting my blog and:
1. Joining hi5
2. Getting hooked to hi5
3. Joining facebook
4. Getting hooked to facebook
5. Leaving hi5
6. Still being hooked to facebook!
7. Oh...having deadlines coming out of my ears + changing Locations. I am back in Ghana!
